Third Annual Kerry Pennington Memorial Golf Tournament

The Third Annual Kerry Pennington Memorial Golf Tournament will be held on Tuesday June 7, 2011 at Tangle Ridge Golf Club in Grand Prairie, Texas.

Honoring the spirit and memory of Kerry Pennington
while benefiting a worthy charity.

"Kerry Pennington was diagnosed with melanoma cancer at the age of 40.  After his initial surgery to remove the cancer, it went into remission for several years until it unexpectedly metastasized to his liver and brain.  The cancer then spread to other parts of his body but he continued to fight a courageous 2-year battle against this insidious disease. It was during this time that Kerry and his wife, Jackie, became aware of The Legacy Brain Foundation founded by Virginia Stark-Vance, MD, Kerry's neuro-oncologist. Unique to most doctors in her field, Dr. Stark-Vance gave exceptional personal care to Kerry resulting in longer quality of life; but also her relationship with the family helped ease tremendous stress associated with cancer.  We are honored to give all proceeds of the KERRY PENNINGTON MEMORIAL GOLF TOURNAMENT to benefit The Legacy Brain Foundation."

The second Annual Kerry Pennington Memorial Golf Tournament, held June 8, 2010 at the scenic Tangle Ridge Golf Glub in Grand  Prairie, was a tremendous success raising more than $14,000 dollars. Tangle Ridge was a gracious host, making the golfers all feel welcome and even donated 20 rounds of golf as door  prizes. Generous sponsors and donors also provided a plethora of giveaways – and the golfers loved their prizes.
